Winter Bird Walk at Zylstra Lake Preserve

Trumpeter Swans on Zylstra Lake | Kurt Thorson

Winter is a wonderful time to see migratory waterfowl, and Zylstra Lake Preserve provides plenty of ideal habitat for them. Join the Preservation Trust’s Kathleen Foley for a winter bird walk at the preserve. Bring your binoculars! (Since it’s Groundhog Day, we’ll keep our eyes open for burrowing rodents, as well.)

Jointly sponsored by the SJPT and the San Juan County Land Bank, the event is free but attendance is limited, so registration is required. Click here to register.

Date: February 2, 2019
Time: 10:30am–12:30pm
Directions: From Friday Harbor, take San Juan Valley Road for just over three miles. Look for event signs alerting you to a left turn onto the property.
