The San Juan Preservation Trust (SJPT) respects your privacy, and we are committed to protecting it. The following policy presents an overview of how we collect, store, and manage your private information.
Collection and Storage of Personal Information
SJPT collects information that is necessary for becoming a member, including full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address. Donor information is stored in a password-protected database.
Use of Personal Information
Personal information is used mainly for purposes related to SJPT membership. We use mailing addresses to send information related to SJPT news, events, or your membership status. SJPT never rents or sells member information. You may always opt out of receiving future mailings by notifying us.
If you provide an email address, it will be added to our member database and used for the purpose of communicating with you about SJPT news, events, and announcements. You may opt out of receiving emails at any time by notifying us directly or by clicking “Unsubscribe” on individual emails (such as e-newsletters). We never exchange, rent, or sell email addresses.
SJPT publishes donors’ names in our annual Year in Review newsletter. The Year in Review newsletter is distributed to all members of the organization (except those who have opted out of receiving postal mail). If you wish to be anonymous in the listing, please notify us and we will honor your request.
Credit Card Security
We use outside credit card processing companies to process online credit card transactions for donations and event fees. These companies do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. Online transactions made via credit card are encrypted via SSL (secure socket layer) technology.
