What is a Donor Advised Fund?
Donor Advised Funds (or DAFs) have grown increasingly popular in recent years, allowing families to establish a fund to facilitate their charitable giving throughout the year and into future years.
A DAF is a separately managed fund that is maintained and operated by a sponsoring organization. The Preservation Trust annually receives gifts from many of our members through their DAFs established at their local community foundations, Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, the National Philanthropic Trust, and other sponsoring organizations.
Check with your financial or tax advisor to see if a donor advised fund might be beneficial for you.
