Vendovi Island is very remote, located east of Sinclair Island, southwest of Bellingham, and between Guemes and Lummi Islands. Only two of the island’s 217 acres have been developed. Vendovi is one of the wildest private islands in the San Juan archipelago, which is why for many years it has been a priority for permanent conservation.
In order to restore the breakwater this year, Vendovi Island Preserve will close early for the season on August 31, 2026.
Visitation hours: 10am–6pm, Thursday–Monday (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
All visitors over the age of 18 must sign in before exploring Vendovi Island Preserve.
