In 2013, the San Juan Preservation Trust started working with Sea Reach, an outdoor exhibit design firm based in Sheridan, Oregon, to develop a series of signs that would enhance the experience of visitors at some of SJPT’s public preserves. By the end of 2017, Sea Reach had designed and installed signs at Sally’s Garden (the farmers’ market area on Lopez Island), Peach Preserve (Guemes Island), and Graham Preserve (Shaw Island).

The Sea Reach crew returned during the week of March 12, 2018, to install signs on Vendovi Island Preserve and Turtlehead Preserve (Orcas Island). Here’s a collection of photos taken during installation week. We hope you’ll go see these in person!

If you see any of our new signs and would like to submit your own photos (selfies welcome!) or make a comment, please send an email to signs@sjpt.org.
