Island Marble Butterfly Habitat Tour

For those who have been following the Island Marble Butterfly, or the San Juan County Land Bank’s Moveable Feast project, this event is for you!

This tour of South San Juan Island will include stops at three sites where landowners are making new habitat for Island Marble Butterfly. Attendees will learn about the different habitat creation methods being tested, what the butterfly needs to survive, and how anyone can get involved to help this rare animal.

Organized by the San Juan County Conservation Land Bank, this event is in partnership with US Fish and Wildlife ServiceWA Dept. of Fish and WildlifeSan Juan Islands Conservation DistrictSan Juan Preservation Trust, and Ecostudies Institute.
