New Candidates

Lynn Ridenour

Lynn Ridenour is a former senior marketing executive whose career has focused on storytelling, brand building, and helping organizations connect with the audiences who care most about their mission. She spent much of her career in venture-backed technology companies, including serving as Vice President of Global Marketing for Expedia Group’s travel supply division. Lynn brings to the board an entrepreneurial mindset and a deep belief in the power of storytelling to strengthen community engagement and inspire stewardship of the San Juan Islands. Born in the Pacific Northwest, Lynn developed an early appreciation for the grounding influence of wild landscapes and coastal waters. She and her husband became full-time residents of Orcas Island in 2020.

Roberto Serrallés

Roberto Serrallés developed a passion for nature while growing up on the island of Puerto Rico, where he saw the close connection between land conservation and marine ecosystem health. After finishing undergraduate studies at Brown University, he deepened his interest in conservation while working as an environmental educator in Vermont. He then earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and a PhD in Geography from the University of Oregon, developing a lasting appreciation for the forests and coastal ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest. Roberto has served as a board member of the Puerto Rico Conservation Trust since 2010 and joined the board of the Land Trust Alliance in 2020. He and his family enjoy gardening, hiking Turtleback Mountain, and floating on their small boat along the beautiful waters of the Salish Sea.
