Rob Roy McGregor
Conservation and Mapping Specialist
Rob Roy McGregor grew up in Anacortes, where he spent countless days exploring the Anacortes Community Forest Lands, state parks, and public beaches of Fidalgo Island. This idyllic childhood fostered in him a love for public access to natural spaces and inspired him to pursue a career in conservation. He graduated with honors from the University of British Columbia with a B.Sc. in Forest Sciences.
Prior to joining the SJPT team, Rob Roy worked for land trusts in both Idaho and Alaska, where he developed his stewardship skills and understanding of the nonprofit land trust model of conservation. He started with the Preservation Trust as a land steward in 2016, and now is SJPT’s Conservation and Mapping Specialist.
