Marianne Tynan

Associate Director of Operations

Marianne joined the Preservation Trust in 2021, bringing with her a broad range of organizational, financial, and human-resource skills having held administrative and managerial positions in a variety of industries, including accounting, event management, real estate, and hospitality.

In her role as Associate Director of Operations, Marianne manages staff recruitment, benefits, risk mitigation and compliance as well as the Land Trust Alliance accreditation renewal process. She also contributes to our Island Marble Butterfly Habitat Expansion project by assisting with field monitoring activities, one of the favorite aspects of her work at the Trust.

Marianne received her B.S. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Hospitality Management and completed her graduate work at the New England School of Acupuncture. Before joining the Trust, she maintained a private acupuncture practice in Mukilteo for almost two decades. She is also a certified Marine Naturalist and a member of the Salish Sea Association of Marine Naturalists (SSAMN).
