Jill Staton

Development Associate

Jill Staton joined the Preservation Trust in September 2019. As Development Associate, she is our resident database guru. And, if you call our Friday Harbor office, there’s a good chance the friendly, peppy voice you hear is hers.

After visiting the islands for more than 20 years, Jill and her husband have permanently relocated to San Juan Island, where her parents also reside. Jill has lived many years overseas, where she hiked, skied, and enjoyed the varied and diverse cultures of different countries. Prior to joining the Preservation Trust, she worked with the National Association of Music Education (NAfME) in the Washington D.C. area. Interesting fact: The Statons’ daughter plays the flute in The Philadelphia Orchestra.

“I can still remember flying to the islands for the first time and knowing that I was heading someplace magical,” Jill says. “Now I feel fortunate to live here, and am thrilled to be part of the Preservation Trust team.”
