Gabe Epperson
Project Manager
Gabe joined the Preservation Trust in July 2024 as a Project Manager. He has over 20 years in nonprofit management experience in conservation and land use planning. As a Project Manager, Gabe splits his time between the Conservation and Operations departments, focusing on new land acquisitions, including donated conservation easements, and various projects involving staff and board recruitment, training and management. Most recently, Gabe worked with the Whatcom Land Trust in Bellingham, WA for 9 nears as the Conservation Director and the Executive Director. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College (VT) and his Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Utah.
Gabe grew up in Salt Lake City, UT where he spent time hiking and camping in the Wasatch Mountains and National Parks in Southern Utah where he developed his passion for nature and the outdoors. After college, Gabe worked in regional conservation and land planning in Salt Lake City, UT helping communities grow and develop sustainably. He moved with his wife and 2 kids to Bellingham, WA in 2015 to be near family in Vancouver BC.
In his spare time, you can find him biking on Galbraith Mountain or hiking trails with his family and friends.
