Megan Boe
Executive Assistant
Megan Boe joined the San Juan Preservation Trust as Executive Assistant in November of 2024.
Megan (pronounced Mee-gan) has deep roots in the San Juan Islands, as her ancestors first arrived on Lopez in 1885, later settling on San Juan in 1886. Although she grew up in Spokane, Megan regularly visited her grandparents and aunt on San Juan Island, where she eventually moved in 2004. She raised her four kids, Me’Tairie (Mae), Essine, Mirren, and Talisen, in the house her dad grew up in—where Peace Island Medical Center now stands. After leaving the island for two years in 2021, Megan returned in March of 2024 with her girlfriend Jenna.
During her time away, she flourished as the Community Programs Manager at the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) at Willamette University in Portland, Oregon. Prior to her time at PNCA, she was the Director of Marketing and Wardrobe at San Juan Community Theatre, where her flair for costume design knew no bounds. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science with a Minor in Business from Washington State University.
Megan loves creating terrariums that contain miniature worlds within them, hiking and exploring the islands, and will someday find the time to begin encaustic painting. Her time is always best spent with her (now adult) kids, and Jenna.
