The San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau, aka Visit San Juans, released a short video earlier this summer simply titled “Stewardship in the San Juan Islands.” Here’s the message they posted with it:
We have a responsibility to protect the places we love. Because while the beauty here feels powerful, it’s still quite fragile. More and more people realize that the reasons they come to the San Juan Islands are also the reasons to care for and protect them.
We couldn’t agree more, and would like to share the video with you—with thanks and appreciation to the Visitors Bureau for promoting not just tourism, but good stewardship and conservation.
As more and more people flock to the islands, we feel an increasingly urgency to conserve and protect the things we love about them before they’re loved to death.
