Bitte Baer-Point Disney Preserve protects the dramatic headland of Waldron Island’s Mount Disney, camas meadows, and one of the largest oak woodlands in the islands. A network of challenging trails traverse the ridges, bluffside, forest, and grasslands.
Come help us eradicate chervil, a rare, invasive relative of wild carrot that is encroaching on native plants and habitat.
Listed start and end times are approximate. Details about when and where to meet, etc., will be emailed to registered participants prior to the event.
Registration is limited to 6 due to boat capacity (round-trip from Orcas Island). BYO lunch and water, wear sturdy clothing (with an optional rain layer) and footwear that has good traction on potentially steep grades.
Participation is free, but please click here to register so we know how many people to expect.
