Tai Warner will be our guide as we explore the Marilyn and Fred Ellis preserve looking for mushrooms that appear with autumn rains. Information on the ecological role of fungi, identification basics, collection etiquette, and safety will be shared before we take to the trail.

Tai is a keen amateur mycologist who leads field trips for the Puget Sound Mycological Society throughout the region.

• Location: Marilyn and Fred Ellis Preserve, Shaw Island
• Bring: Dress for the weather, as this event will happen rain or shine.

This event is free, but attendance will be limited to the first 10 people who sign up.
