SJPT is kicking off our first Fieldwork Friday during WA Invasive Species Awareness Week with a productive and educational trip to the Ellis Preserve. Join us on a walk lead by Jason Ontjes, San Juan County’s Noxious Weed Program Coordinator, as he shares his knowledge of native and naturalized plants and answers your questions along the way. Time will be spent removing ivy from the preserve, giving the trees a break and the native plants a head start to spring!
Work parties typically last 4 hours and are timed to meet ferry schedules, with shuttles provided. Details about when and where to meet, etc., will be emailed to registered participants prior to the event.
