Earth Day began in 1970, which means that this year we will be celebrating their 50th year anniversary!
Join San Juan Preservation Trust (SJPT) in partnership with Skagit Land Trust (SLT), during Great Islands Clean-Up Day on April 18th, to carry on the tradition.
Lend a hand in cleaning up the beaches at Peach Preserve (SJPT) and Kelly’s Point (SLT).
Earth Day’s 2020 theme is: Climate Action and we are encouraging our volunteers to arrive by human power (biking, walking, rollerblading, etc). Peach preserve is within a 15 minute walk (or 4 minute bike) from the Guemes ferry and Kelly’s point is another 10 minute walk (or 3 minute bike) from there.
This work party will be led by Rob Roy from SJPT and Tori Wood from SLT.
Work parties typically last 3-4 hours and are timed to meet ferry schedules. Details about when and where to meet, etc., will be emailed to registered participants prior to the event.
Participation is free, but please click here to register so we know how many people to expect.
