Gentle hands can set a good foundation for what will one day be a mighty Garry oak tree
Planting a tree is an act of hope, a gift to future generations, and a simple yet profound act of stewardship. Join us as we continue to enhance habitat and increase resilience by adding native Garry oaks (Quercus garryana) to the woodland diversity at the Ellis Preserve. This is a wonderful family activity, and a meaningful way to celebrate the change of season.
Come and help us plant some Garry oak trees around Shaw Island’s Ellis Preserve, adding to some of the “mini prairie” areas around the preserve. Registration is required.
