Forest Immersion Walk at Zylstra Lake Preserve

Zylstra Lake Preserve
A growing body of research is casting light on how spending time outdoors, and specifically in natural open spaces and forests, reduces stress and makes us healthier.
We invite you to experience these benefits on SJPT-protected land during a forest-immersion (aka “forest bathing”) walk. Our guide is Aaron Thayne, who is certified by the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy. Aaron will help us deepen our connection with nature by slowing down and engaging all our senses while exploring the multi-faceted trail around of Zylstra Lake on San Juan Island.
Please note: This is more of a slow, mindful walk than a “hike.” Distance covered will be less than two miles over mostly flat terrain. If you’re a slow walker, this outing is tailor-made for you.
Fee: $35 includes guide expense. BYO lunch and water bottle.
