Forest Immersion Walk at the Graham Preserve
May 25, 2019 at 10:30 am - 2:00 pm
A growing body of research is casting light on how spending time outdoors, and specifically in natural open spaces and forests, reduces stress and makes us healthier.
We invite you to experience these benefits on SJPT-protected land during a forest-immersion (aka “forest bathing”) walk. Our guide is Aaron Thayne, who is certified by the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy. Aaron will help us deepen our connection with nature by slowing down and engaging all of our senses while exploring the meandering trails of the Graham Preserve on Shaw Island.
Please note: This is more of a slow, mindful walk than a hike per se. Distance covered will be about two miles over gently sloping trails.
Fee: $35 includes guide expense. BYO lunch and water bottle.
