Fri, Jul 16, 2010 Fieldwork Day: Fir tree thinning, Hunter Preserve, San Juan Island The small but lovely Hunter Preserve on San Juan Island's Mt. Dallas has been undergoing a slow transition from newly-emerging Douglas fir forest back to the wildflower meadow it once had been. Join the SJPT Stewardship crew in helping us selectively thin Douglas fir in order for the native wildlflowers to flourish once again.
