The San Juan Preservation Trust and the Lopez Island Family Resource Center has partnered to offer this opportunity for an early morning visit to private land on the beautiful south end of Lopez Island.  We will learn to find birds using our eyes and ears while we discover the connection between each species and their habitat needs.  You will also learn about the San Juan Preservation Trust’s wildlife habitat protection work on Lopez Island.

Details:  Outing will take place between 7:30am- 9:30am.
This walk is suitable for families with children of all ages, and beginning birders.  Participant limit is 10. There is a $15 fee for this outing.  All proceeds will benefit the Lopez Family Resource Center.  Additional donations beyond this fee to the San Juan Preservation Trust are gratefully accepted.

 Meet at the parking lot in front of the San Juan Preservation Trust office in Lopez Villageat 7:30am for a brief introductory session before we carpool to our birding site.  Bring clothes/shoes suitable for walking and binoculars (if you have them).  Kathleen will have extra binoculars and a spotting scope.
